Doogee to launch “Keeper”, their first smartwatch with calling function

According to a leaked report, Doogee (a Chinese phone maker) is planning to launch a smart wearable device next month. Called as “Doogee Keeper” the smart-watch is said to support SIM calling function (over a 2G/3G network), expandable memory and a 5MP camera. Besides it will also have all the regular features expected from today’s smart wearable. Here is a brief overview of what we know so far about Doogee Keeper

  • IP68 certified dust and water resistant
  • SIM card (micro SIM) support to make calls
  • Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity
  • Heart rate monitor, pedometer, barometer, altimeter and GPS
  • Motion sensor – screen wakes up when the wrist is lifted
  • 600mAh battery for 5-7 days operation
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 4 GB internal memory expandable upto 32GB via a TF card
  • Compatible with almost all Android phones (having Android 5.0 Lollipop or newer Android version)
  • Availability – It is expected to be launched in August 2015 in China first. It’s not clear where and when Doogee Keeper will be launched outside China.

The price of Doogee Keeper has not been disclosed as of now but it is expected to be in the range of $100-150
