I had a G2, Did a back up before picking up G4. Learned the hard way, that I needed LG Bridge. BUT LG Bridge does not talk to PC Suite…how do I restore my info/apps/pics etc??

Unfortunately LG Bridge does not support back up taken with good old LG PC Suite. And even more tragic is that LG PC Suite does not support G4. You can use the LG Backup app (which is present in both G4 and G2) to copy all the data to and from G2/G4. Or alternatively there are many excellent 3rd party apps (like Titanium Backup) available for the task.

Installed it just now. Connect devise using USB. Doesn’t seem to working at all. Pop up window asked if I want to back up via Windows Media Player and nothing happens after that.

And whatever happened to the ad saying the G4 to the PC cable free connection? Wasted an hour with frustration.

LG Bridge does not sync data with Outlook so it’s all but useless as far as I’m concerned.

Unfortunately LG Bridge is a buggy, experimental software still under development. A lot of people have reported various errors while using it. Recently it updated itself when launched and when update completed it stopped working giving the error as shown in the image.

In your case may be Bridge is experiencing problems connecting to LG servers. So keep trying until it works. Good luck!

hello i have the LG G4 (and think it’s amazing!) but when i try to put a back up of my media on LG bridge it says that i have to have 19 gb of memory free on my phone. For the moment i have like 17 gb of memory on my phone and an other 10 gb of memory on my sd card. Can someone help me pleas because I can’t find out why it needs so much of memory on my phone to put media from my phone to my pc…

Just installed Bridge for G4, updated & gave necessary permissions and promptly experienced same problems as Sam above. It says it needs more phone space I tried talking to my PC, then my G4, and lastly to the Bridge software to convince it that the G4 does not arrive with 500TB storage right out of the box. The PC and the phone both indicated they understood and were trying their best to co-operate, but PC Bridge just laughed derisively at me. Going to do some research into Voodoo mind control tonight and try that, then tomorrow night see if demonic possession works. Ooorrrrrrr maybe I’ll just save myself the hassles and install the Titanium app!!!!!

PC synchronizing makes no sense in any case if it does not synch with Outlook contacts, tasks and calendar!!!! LG what is the purpose of the software then????
There’s numerous on-line backup solutions and Outlook can synch with Google….ssooooo what is the reason for PC Bridge’s existence in its current format even if LG can get it sorted?????

Shame on you LG first you produce a brilliant alternative to Samsung’s junk and Apple’s overpriced and severely locked and therefore limited junk, and then you fail to test and troubleshoot your support software before launching the half-assed PC support the does not synch with the most used office software globally????

    What were you thinking?
